On June 19, 2020, ACC Founder Henry Bromelkamp received the prestigious Marty Baskerville Philanthropy Award from the Minneapolis Rotary Club. The award is presented to a member who has demonstrated over time a strong commitment to the service mission of Rotary. Henry is recognized as a true giver, evidenced in part by founding ACC and by personally funding the education of many young people in Africa. Said Sharon Bloodworth, Past President and Chair of the World Service Committee, “Henry is the closest thing I know to Mother Theresa… truly!” Henry’s husband and ACC Board member, Jeff Nelson, accepted the award on Henry’s behalf.
